Buggleskelly Windmill is a ramshackle old mill with missing slats, and a broken tail fan, but it still turns, even when there's no wind...  The mill is based on Terling Mill in Essex, used as the filming location for the 1937 Will Hay comedy 'Oh, Mr. Porter!'.

This resin 3D printed model is available unpainted or hand painted and includes motorised sails (see below for details).  The four sails are all different for more realism, and they will require minimal assembly using superglue.  Loctite 406 is recommended.  The windmill includes a foundation which measures approx 2mm in 1:76 scale (OO Gauge).  This is to allow the building to be more realistically embedded into scenery as shown in the example diorama photos.

Please note, the scenery and figures shown are NOT included.  This listing is for the windmill only.

Available in the following scales:

N Gauge (1:148), TT Scale (1:120), British TT3 (1:101.6) & OO Gauge (1:76)

N Gauge (1:148):  45mm x 45mm

TT Scale (1:120): 55mm x 55mm

British TT3 (1:101.6) 65mm x 65mm

OO Gauge (1:76): 88mm x 88mm

Height (to top of cap finial)

N Gauge (1:148):  125mm approx

TT Scale (1:120):  155mm approx

British TT3 (1:101.6) 182mm approx

OO Gauge (1:76): 240mm approx

The example photos are a mixture of the N Gauge (1:148 scale) and OO (1:76 scale) models and the level of detail may vary in smaller scales.  All hand painted models are unique and details may vary.

Motorised Sails

The model includes a 3V DC motor which spins at approx 7RMP, wires and a battery pack for two AA batteries.  Batteries are not included.  If you wish to wire the model into an existing model railway power system, you will need to fit a resistor (not included).

Figures

The figures shown are not included.  If you'd like to re-enact the scene from Oh, Mr. Porter! where Porter, Albert and Harbottle have an unintentional ride on the sails, the figures are available separately in the figures section of the website.

There is a 'making of' video including a painting guide on YouTube at the link here.
