This item will be produced to order. As each product takes a long time to produce, orders may not be fulfilled until for up to 6-8 weeks after the order date. Hand painted orders will take longer than unpainted orders. Please bear this in mind before ordering.
Important: this listing is for the body shell ONLY. A motorised chassis would need to be scratch built to fit this body shell. Please see the photos for measurements.
Gladstone has finally arrived at Buggleskelly Station! This locomotive body shell has been designed using drawings, film stills and photographs from the set of the 1937 Will Hay comedy 'Oh, Mr. Porter!'
Please note, this is a freelance design based on the locomotive from the film. The details are based on available images and film stills, but the model is not an exact replica of Gladstone due to design restraints and minimal high quality source material, therefore some elements may differ slightly from the locomotive used in the film.
Length (buffer to buffer): 156mm approx
Width: 60mm approx
This model is as it comes from the 3D printer, after being cleaned and UV cured. This will be the colour of the original resin and may be a peach/sand colour or grey. The buffers, steps and chimney will be provided separately for you to fit yourself using superglue (Loctite 406 is recommended). The chimney sits in place without any need for glue.
The shell is also available hand painted and weathered. The examples of the hand painted & weathered option show the OO scale version, but the paint scheme etc will match this for the O scale model.
I have filmed a 'making of' video and a brief overview of painting the OO version of this model here.
This model is compatible with my Buggleskelly station and signal box.
